What happens when a workplace design firm gets the opportunity to design its own workplace? For PDR, it started with putting people first and celebrating the craft of design.

Our new Houston office gave us the chance to rethink what we need from a workplace today. We didn’t simply change addresses. We challenged ourselves to create a place that reflects how we work, how we connect and the craftsmanship we bring to our work every day.

The result is a space built around choice. It creates opportunities to focus when we need to focus and collaborate when we need each other. Throughout the office, thoughtful details and carefully crafted moments reinforce that good design is experienced at every scale. Materials feel authentic. Details have purpose. Nothing is precious, but everything is considered.

The office also tells the story of PDR. It is creative without taking itself too seriously and thoughtful without feeling overly designed. It celebrates the process of making as much as the finished product.

This is our workplace, but it is also our laboratory – a place where we can experience the ideas we bring to our clients every day.
