BIM Specialist


As a BIM Specialist at PDR, you will support the firm’s architectural technology solutions and engage with project teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality drawings and models for our clients. The BIM Specialist will join a team of project delivery professionals and serve as the firm’s primary contact for Revit support, training, template maintenance, and more. 

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Provide new-hire training on-going training sessions over new features and toolsets. 
  • Assist in the development of best practices and monitor adoption across the organization. 
  • Provide accurate and timely end-user support to both in-office and remote users. 
  • Collaborate with project team leads and model managers to meet model quality and delivery goals. 
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure BIM resilience and uptime standards are met. 
  • Coordinate with project delivery leadership to create annual content development and execution plans. 
  • Assist with developing custom tool sets to automate tasks and promote greater overall user efficiency.

Key Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Architecture degree or equivalent is preferred. 
  • A minimum of four years of Revit experience in architectural design and two years of Revit/BIM support experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of architectural design and documentation processes and understanding key deliverables at project milestones. 
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with diverse, multi-disciplinary project teams. 
  • A high level of proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; some experience with Dynamo and/or Grasshopper is recommended. The ideal candidate will have the expertise or desire to learn Python and the Revit API. 
  • Experience in creating complex and highly parametric Revit families. 
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and manage demands from multiple departments and stakeholders. 
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and a desire to learn something new every day.
