02 Jan Carolyn Moore
My ambition as a designer is to create memorable experiences. I engage a branding and storytelling perspective to strengthen identity, build community and guide behaviors.
Carolyn Moore‘s approach to design is deeply rooted in identity development and user experience. Her range of work, from monumental installations to small scale print collateral, begins with identifying what people need to feel and understand while interacting with her designs.
As the lead experiential graphic designer for the Esso Imperial Oil Campus in Calgary, Alberta Canada, Carolyn strengthened the language and story of the project concept to the point that it became a part of the client’s external communications. She also led the design of numerous key experiences across the campus: a 15’ x 30’ x 15’ bespoke light fixture resembling the Aurora Borealis that serves as an awe-inspiring entry showpiece, a three-story supergraphic inspired by flowing water that connects pedestrians across the span of the five-building campus, and custom workstation screens that resemble the abstracted Calgary horizon.
Carolyn brings value to projects by listening closely, uncovering essential information, and translating those findings into unique, appropriate messages, identities, and designs. The resulting efforts are tailored, sensorial experiences that lay the groundwork for placemaking and building community.
