What you’ll be doing:

As a Signage and Wayfinding Designer at PDR, you will interface with our brand, design and architecture teams and our clients to provide expertise and direction on architectural signage, environmental graphics and wayfinding. You will conceptualize and execute on strong and creative designs for your clients. You will support all signage and wayfinding

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Create new and innovative design content for architectural applications pertaining to wayfinding, signage, exhibits and kiosks, informational, etc.
  • Design interior and exterior signage and wayfinding solutions from conception through installation for a variety of clients.
  • Manage and design working drawings with respect to mechanical connections and required architectural attachments for architectural application.
  • Prepare final documentation including message schedules, sign location plans and sign type drawings.
  • Collaborate with clients, design teams and fabrication partners across multiple industries
  • Establish and manage client and team expectations while maintaining a positive, proactive and professional demeanor.
  • Lead Clients through the decision-making process
  • Consistently provide innovative and creative ideas, putting forward imaginative alternatives and questioning traditional approaches.
  • Explore, question, challenge and assimilate the design and production process.
  • Solve business challenges, produce ideas with depth and good reasoning, and be able to clearly articulate the journey from concept to solution.

As a Signage + Wayfinding Designer, you are a:

  • Comfortable managing multiple clients, deadlines and deliverables

 Key Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Graphic Design, Product design, Industrial Design or Architecture
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a Wayfinding and Signage role at a design or architecture firm.
  • A working knowledge of Signage production processes is a must, including a strong familiarity with current ADAAG code requirements, production standards, and Architectural notation.
  • Working knowledge of materials qualities and installation procedures and practices.
  • Requires strong conceptual layout skills and design flexibility.
  • Knowledge of Revit, Adobe Creative Suite with proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator in a PC environment.
