What you’ll be doing:

The Marketing Proposal Writer will provide general marketing support for firm business development activities. This person will collaborate with various staff – Architects, planners, consultants, and technical experts – to produce proposals, rosters, award submittals, resumes, and project descriptions.

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Developing marketing proposals and supporting materials (including some writing of non-technical sections)
  • Compiling all proposal materials (graphics, text, forms, and sub-consultant material) into a polished, client-ready package
  • Developing qualifications packages, resumes, project descriptions, awards submittals, and other custom marketing materials.
  • Supporting the preparation of pursuit, interview, and presentation activities
  • Participating in or leading a proposal effort responding to RFPs, RFQs, awards submittals, roster applications, etc.
  • Updating Microsoft Dynamics CRM database and pulling reports weekly
  • Owning process and maintaining firm resumes
  • Collaborate with Graphic Design staff to plan and produce materials
  • Collaborate with project teams to collect project data as needed
  • Staying up to date on current industry speaking engagements, special events, and conferences
  • Attending new business development events at local conferences
  • Review proposal requests through the go/no go checklist
  • Initiate PIF and enter opportunities in CRM, as needed
  • Manage and take new hire photos/project photography as needed

 Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven role
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment in an open office
  • Architecture & Engineering or Construction industry marketing experience strongly preferred
  • Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must demonstrate strong initiative
  • Dependable and detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of CRM data management
  • Strong graphics capability in Adobe CS/InDesign
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills
  • Experience working with Mail Chimp is a plus
