What you’ll be doing:

PDR is currently seeking Interior Designers to work in our fast-paced, highly collaborative workplace design firm. Individuals will work in all aspects of design – programming, space planning, material selections/specifications, architectural detailing, construction documents, and furniture selection/specification and construction administration. Interior Designer should demonstrate creativity, problem-solving abilities, and self-confidence in resolving and presenting design solutions with the project team and the client.

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Engage the client in programming and workplace design analysis to identify the project’s key issues and business objectives.
  • Participate in the schematic design and design development phases of the project. Coordinate with the Project Architect during the design development and engineering handoff phases.
  • Actively participate in the construction document process.
  • Work with the team to establish the major design concepts and image that meets the client’s objectives.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager or Project Architect to identify the design scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate as part of a team of professionals.

Key Qualifications

  •  1-5 years of experience in a design-oriented architecture role, emphasizing corporate workplace design & architecture.
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Proficient in Revit
  • Strong design sense and ability
  • Strong problem solving, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with clients and team members
  • Self-motivated with a passion for design and architecture
  • Excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential.
