According to downtownhouston.org, over the past two decades, more than $9 billion in public and private investments have been made towards achieving Downtown’s vision of a dynamic and vibrant place to live, work and play. It’s an exciting time in Houston. We continue to see our skyline grow, but it’s not just what’s on the outside that is changing.
In an HBJ article,“Developer reveals private event space at new downtown Houston office tower”, Cara Smith gives an inside look to a unique project PDR is busy designing.
"The developer behind Capitol Tower, a 750,000-square-foot office tower currently under construction in downtown Houston, revealed one of the project's amenities that's not often seen in Houston office properties. Capitol Tower's 12th floor will be home to The Assembly, a 10,000-square-foot private event and meeting space, a Skanska USA Commercial Development spokesperson told the Houston Business Journal. The event space has a contemporary, modern feel; renderings of The Assembly make it more comparable to the trendy apartment lounges or co-working space than to the conference centers in most new office buildings,” writes Smith.
PDR is proud to be Skanska's designer for The Assembly and we look forward to sharing more images as the project develops.
