Design Solutions Magazine, the official journal of the Architectural Woodwork Institute, published their summer issue featuring a 6-page spread titled, Chemistry Rules. International Chemical Group Redesigns Headquarters.
The article highlights the headquarters project designed by PDR and includes beautiful images of Solvay’s Chemicals new office as well as design details and a history of the chemical headquarters. “When the company needed a redo of its 50,000 square foot space, the architectural firm of PDR, was selected to handle the project. Architectural woodwork for the project was fabricated and installed by ROOMI Group.”
Tonya Williams, Lead Designer for PDR, explains that the design was focused on capturing daylight and view, connecting employees, re-energizing their workplace culture and celebrating the company’s refreshed brand.
Roomi’s Tanya Minnick shares the specifications of the Afromosia wood selected for the office space and describes the teamwork required to execute the project. “On this project ROOMI has nothing but absolute gratitude and respect for the other team members in coordinating and finalizing all details at the planning stage. We are extremely proud of our hard work and we are grateful for the teamwork provided in this venture,” says Minnick.
Design Solutions concludes that cooperation helped ensure a colorful, contemporary design that fits Solvay Chemicals’ plans and goals for the future.
