The Accounting Intern is responsible for the entry of vendor and project expenses in a timely and accurate manner. This position also collaborates and assists employees and management to report actual project-to- date results. This is an extremely hands on role with a heavy data entry concentration and is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast pace in a team environment. Must be a team player.
Gather, sort, and enter invoices and related information for processing payable transactions.
Analyze and review all items submitted for accuracy of coding, proper approval, and support.
Update and maintain vendor database.
Monitor vendors for W-9 requirement.
Review and process expense reports for validity and accuracy.
Review and code client payments.
Partner with Project Accountants to ensure the accurate posting of expenses.
Assist with weekly/monthly financial reports for Management.
Review reports for data accuracy and identify exceptions to our standard business practices.
Candidates must meet one of the requirements listed below to be considered:
Must have completed their third year of an undergraduate program.
Must have completed their first year of a graduate program.
Completed undergraduate program and are entering an accredited graduate program in Fall 2019.
Pursuing BBA with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Management.
Ability to work in a dynamic collaborative team environment in an open office.
Must demonstrate analytical, communication, organizational and prioritization skills.
Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and must have attention to detail.
Highly organized and prepared for on-the-spot requests.
Strong customer relationship skills and service orientation.
Strong Excel and Access skills.
Knowledge of Deltek Vision is a plus.
