Schlumberger Limited Headquarters
The design of Schlumberger Limited Headquarters was conceived as a place to house both people and art. Its design was inspired by Schlumberger’s leadership and their museum-quality collection of modern art. Hallmarked by the manipulation of simple geometries and combined with bold use of light, textures, and rhythms, the headquarters’ design is abstracted to the bare essentials. The objects in this composition reveal ideas, communicate techniques and celebrate materials. A modern, technologically advanced workplace, deploying technology that serves the workers, but is not the center of attention. The natural color palette softens the rigorous geometry and allows the art to find an appropriate place of importance. Each material has a unique and exuberant reaction to light which heightens the experience moving through the space.
