PDR’s Wayne Braun, Principal and Design Director Emeritus, was featured in PaperCity Magazine this month in an article titled, The Boundaries Between Inside and Out Blur in Wayne Braun’s Art-Filled Museum District House. The article showcases his beautifully designed home with a spread of images that leaves you wanting to see more.
Wayne designed the architecture and interiors for the new home in 2013 and the write-up gives you a glimpse of his attention to detail and his approach to design. “‘What resonates most with people about my house is how light and bright it is, even on rainy days.’ On the first level, 24 by 9 feet of sliding glass doors in the living room and 16 by 9 feet of windows in the dining room surround a private courtyard with lap pool.” The images in the article include his courtyard’s retractable Flexy canopy by FIM Manufacturing, the living room as seen from the courtyard and furniture by Knoll, Herman Miller and Wilkhahn, to name a few.
Wayne is a nationally awarded and recognized Designer of corporate office spaces, best known for his attention to the character, refined quality and long-term functionality of his work. He has won local, regional and national recognition for his work throughout his career. Wayne served as Design Lead for a number of noteworthy and acclaimed projects including Invesco Aim, CITGO, ExxonMobil, Devon Energy, ConocoPhillips and Schlumberger.
