PDR Named Workplace Architect for Eaton Corporation’s New Headquarters

HOUSTON, TX – Planning Design Research Corporation, which creates high-performance work environments for companies around the globe, has been named workplace architect for the global headquarters of Eaton Corporation, a global power management company based in Cleveland, Ohio. Plans are for the building to be LEED certified.

As workplace architect, PDR is responsible for the interior architectural design at Eaton’s new, 470,000-square-foot headquarters scheduled to open in the Cleveland suburb of Beachwood in late 2012. The $170-million, semi-circular headquarters, which will cradle a pond surrounded by walking paths on a 53-acre site, is on one of the highest points in Cuyahoga County. The new building will enable Eaton to bring together more than 700 employees currently housed in three different facilities, including the headquarters building in downtown Cleveland.
