What started out as a passion project, has now landed Houston's coworking development, HeadQuarters, the winner of the prestigious Development of Distinction award from the Urban Land Institute (ULI). PDR worked with TPC Real Estate, to design Headquarters specifically for small to medium businesses in the East Downtown (EaDo) Houston market. PDR designers were tasked with the goal to design a collaborative office environment that would not only attract businesses, seeking short-term leases, but create a fun energy that aligned with the client's cultural values.
The award recognizes developments which exemplify best practices in design, construction, economic viability, marketing, management and community health. This is the 11th year for the prestigious awards. In a write up from the Houston Chronicle they state, "The former industrial building opened last year as a workspace for small to medium sized businesses seeking an environment to collaborate with other tenants, with the perks of a corporate campus. The project has on-site food and beverage, reception services and a community kitchen, lounges, conference rooms, and courtyard."
Congratulations on this well deserved award HeadQuarters!
