Accenture’s Houston office was challenged to implement a new corporate workplace strategy and develop an office environment based on four critical elements: Efficiency, Effectiveness, Engagement and Environment. Each concept would improve the company’s standing by efficiently leveraging real estate investments; connecting and improving employee productivity; enhancing the company’s cultural identity and brand, and reducing Accenture’s carbon footprint. PDR effectively reduced Accenture’s real estate holdings by two-thirds and executed a design that supports daily workplace operations, formal and informal meetings, and employee connection. The environment successfully reflects Accenture’s culture with colors, materials and furnishings that were all strategically selected to create a place that welcomes employees and visitors. Technology is integrated throughout the office enabling face-to-face interactions, virtual collaboration, and employee mobility.
